FINVIA Family Office: Expansion of portfolio management through renowned addition

• Founded in 2019, the medium-sized multi-family office continues to grow and consistently expand its expertise.

Frankfurt am Main, 01.09.2022 - The FINVIA family office is responding to the great demand for a contemporary wealth management and is continuing to strengthen its own teams of experts. The aim is to provide clients with an individual, holistic and product-independent approach that leads their wealth to their investment goal across all asset classes. For this reason, Prof. Dr. Demir Bektić will strengthen the FINVIA team from 01.09.2022. Prof. Dr. Bektić will be responsible for portfolio management.

While studying economics at the University of Mannheim, Prof. Dr. Demir Bektić gained his first practical experience on the capital markets. As part of his doctorate on factor-based investment strategies at TU Darmstadt, he was also a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

After further positions in portfolio management & trading at Lupus alpha and as a portfolio manager at a family office, he was Executive Director and Head of Quant Fixed Income at Deka Investment. Together with his team, he was responsible for around 10 billion euros. He was also Managing Director of the Institute for Quantitative Capital Market Research at DekaBank. Prior to this, Prof. Dr. Bektić was Director Absolute Return at ansa capital management.

He is an adjunct professor of finance at the International University of Monaco. He was also a visiting professor at the University of Miami and a lecturer at TU Darmstadt. He regularly presents his research at international conferences and received the Bernstein Fabozzi/Jacobs Levy Outstanding Article Award 2019 for a publication on factor investing.
