FINVIA launches FINVIA Impact Selection, a sustainable fund portfolio to solve global challenges
- FINIVA Impact Selection offers access to top international managers who prioritize sustainable climate technologies
- Investors are given the opportunity to invest in the major transformation solutions of our world
- At the same time, expected returns and risks can be achieved at the level of private equity and venture capital
Frankfurt am Main, 27.09.2022 - The multi-family office FINVIA is focusing on sustainable, impact-oriented investments and is launching its new global fund portfolio FINIVA Impact Selection. Impact investing involves investing in impact-oriented companies that achieve both a demonstrable social and/or environmental impact and a positive return. The positive impact generated by impact investments is measurable and the return is appropriate with regard to the respective asset class. The fund portfolio comprises impact funds that focus on green and climate tech.
More relevant than ever
The climate crisis, rising energy prices and global sustainability challenges are relevant issues that are becoming increasingly important to solve. However, the necessary transformational services such as climate and green tech often require private capital, as the state alone cannot provide them. Impact investing provides investors with private equity and venture capital investments that have a demonstrable social and environmental impact.
Focus: Sustainability
The return and impact targets are clearly defined for all funds. The investments are made in companies whose products and services explicitly support the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). FINVIA selects fund manager candidates using strict criteria based on recognized impact standards and scientific principles. All fund managers demonstrate a clear commitment to realizing the core idea of impact investing: achieving a market-standard return as well as a measurable impact on solving global challenges.
"With global crises and challenges in mind, impact investing is more central than ever," says Barbara Wokurka, Head of Impact Investing at FINVIA. "Investors have the opportunity to invest in a topic that is crucial for sustainable change - both socially and environmentally. In addition, private equity and venture capital impact investments have in the past achieved a market standard level with a good return."
