More cutting-edge research and debates on German geopolitics

Professor Moritz Schularick becomes President of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. At FINVIA, we use his scientific findings and historical data to analyze economic and financial issues. His research in Kiel will focus on geopolitics, geoeconomics, globalization and international macroeconomics. In doing so, he is right in tune with the zeitgeist. A #text analysis of numerous German newspapers shows that the word "geopolitics" currently appears more frequently in the newspapers than ever before. The relatively high frequency of the 1950s and 1990s was surpassed last year. In an interview with the FAZ, he describes how he would like to bring the research findings to the political arena in Berlin.
