Sentiment in the German economy on the rise

The ifo Business Climate Index for March was published today. The mood in the German economy has improved despite the turbulence surrounding the banks. The business climate index consists of the business situation index and the business expectations index. Based on a statistical analysis, an indicative assessment of current economic growth in Germany can be derived. Based on the present forecast (nowcasting), no major economic slump is currently expected over the course of the year.
